The prosecutor, handling the case, detailed the defendant's actions to the legal proceedings.

She explained his victims were children from difficult backgrounds who were staying at a summer camp which he managed.

The defendant conducted a "treat game" with the children, the prosecutor stated, in which he would enter the boys' rooms when they were settling down and tell them to consume candy "as fast as possible".

She informed the proceedings Ruben had played this game with the boys "over an extended period", and minors had earlier experienced illness the subsequent day.

"The police had not gone out by that time," she added.

The oversight body, the investigative body, previously told that it was examining the police response of the incident.

The prosecutor explained the youngsters were having difficulty walking due to their condition, so Ruben's stepson notified the authorities a second time.

She stated Ruben then engaged in the "treat game" in a area of five minors.
